Fence Photo Gallery: Our Installs Around Charlotte
Photos of fences and gates we installed at homes and businesses around the Charlotte area, sorted by the type of fence. Each one has a short description under it. Select any photo to open it full size.
Wood Fences
Most of these are wood privacy fences. Look at the tops: dog-ear pickets are clipped at the corners, cap and trim adds a flat board across the top, and scalloped sections dip between posts. The shadowbox and horizontal jobs show how board layout changes the amount of air and light that gets through. One photo is taken from the back side so you can see the posts and the three rails that carry the pickets.

Vinyl Fences
White and tan vinyl privacy panels, plus a few semi-privacy jobs with spaced pickets. On a routed vinyl fence the rails lock into slots in the posts, which is why you see so few fasteners on the face. Several of these are small enclosures built against the side of a house instead of a full backyard perimeter.

Aluminum Fences
Black aluminum in flat-top and three-rail layouts. Check the photos on slopes: the panels are racked, meaning the pickets stay plumb while the rails follow the grade, so there is no stepped gap under the fence. Aluminum is also what we set on top of retaining walls and along lake lots where the owner wants to keep the view.

Chain Link Fences
Galvanized chain link with top rail in backyards, along with one black vinyl coated job. The gate photos show both single walk gates and double swing gates wide enough for a mower or a trailer.

Split Rail Fences
Three-rail split rail with welded wire fastened to the inside face. The rails mark the line and the wire is what keeps a dog in. Most of these jobs are on wooded lots, where an open fence like this disappears into the trees.

Gates
Walk gates and double drive gates in wood, vinyl and metal. Arched tops, strap hinges and decorative hinges are all options you pick when the gate is ordered. A double drive gate puts far more load on its hinge posts than a walk gate does, so the posts and hardware are sized for the opening.
