Fence Contractors in North Carolina: Charlotte Metro Installation and Replacement
North Carolina offices in Charlotte, Belmont, Huntersville, Concord and three more locations cover Charlotte and the towns around it for new fences and replacements.
Where We Work in North Carolina
QC Fence Contractors works on the North Carolina side of the Charlotte metro from its offices here. Belmont is in Gaston County on the west side of the metro. Huntersville is on the Lake Norman side to the north. Concord is in Cabarrus County to the northeast. Between them they reach Charlotte, Matthews, Harrisburg, Ballantyne, Ashbrook and Gastonia.
Most of our work is new fence installation and full replacement, for homes and for commercial property. We install wood, vinyl, aluminum, chain link and steel, and the fence types index lists everything else.
Building Fences in the Carolina Piedmont
The ground here is red clay over rock. Clay drains slowly, so a post hole can hold water long after rain, and wood posts need to be rated for ground contact and set in footings that shed water. The same clay swells when wet and shrinks when dry, which is why gate posts go deeper than line posts.
Lots slope. Subdivisions around Charlotte are graded into rolling ground, and a fence has to step or follow the grade. Lake Norman and Lake Wylie lots add a view that owners want to keep, which is why so much lakefront fence is open aluminum.
Rules come from several places at once. Each city and county sets its own fence height limits and permit requirements, pool barriers are covered by the state residential code, and most newer neighborhoods have an HOA with its own list. They differ from town to town, so confirm what applies to your address before ordering. We build to the approval you get.
